While most PS3 owners may not know anything about Home brew games or applications, the PS Jailbreak for the PS3 aims to change all of that – and quickly.

Home brew games and applications are created by amateur or home based professional game and app developers. They don't make them for the fame or fortune, they do it simply because they like to create. Or they have found something lacking in their hardware in have decided that the way to go is to make it themselves.

PS3 owners are not very familiar with this term, but that is all about to change with the PS3 Jailbreak. The XBox, PS2, and even the Nintendo DSi and Sony PSP have all enjoyed all sorts of homebrew games, applications, as well as additional features and functions on their consoles thanks to home brew developers.

And the only reason that the PlayStation 3 has not had much is because there was simply no way to boot, or load the home brew software.

The PS Jailbreak does away with that hurdle by allowing home brew developers to not load their creations and make them available for downloading from the internet free of charge, thanks to the jailbreak that allows you to store and load your games from your PlayStation 3 hard drive.

Home brew games are also free, for every single platform out there. As I mentioned, they are not created to make money or to be commercially successful, but only to be enjoyed by the masses at no charge, adding some new feature or functions, or a little bit of fun to their PS3 consoles.

You can be a part of the home brew revolution that is about to hit the PlayStation 3 console by making sure you pickup a PS Jailbreak, the PS3 Mod chip that plugs into your USB port for the quickest and easiest way to start enjoying your homebrew games and apps.
